Yes, I remember watching it, and liking it- but I did not love it... And in the end, anyone who looks back at Visionaries- just says: \u003Ci\u003E\"Oh, yeah- those were those Hasbro toys with the holograms, right?\"\u003C\/i\u003E or as I say: \u003Ci\u003EThe less cool Supernaturals...\u003C\/i\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; But the show was \u003Cb\u003Eso\u003C\/b\u003E much more than its action-figure's \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/www.virtualtoychest.com\/visionaries\/visionaries.html\"\u003Egimmicky\u003C\/a\u003E-\u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/www.action-figures.ca\/visionaries.htm\"\u003Epremise\u003C\/a\u003E. I was amazed, in re-watching the series for this post, how many of the visuals from the show I remembered \u003Ci\u003Eso\u003C\/i\u003E vividly.\u003Cbr \/\u003EThe animation was \u003Ci\u003Eabsolutely beautiful\u003C\/i\u003E in many scenes, per episode- due to Sunbow Productions sending a large amount of it to Japan to be done by TMS Entertainment.\u0026nbsp; -Resulting in random moments of pure, detailed, fluid 80's anime-style gold!\u0026nbsp; -Particularly, I noticed, on the episode \u003Ci\u003ETrail of The Three Wizards...\u003C\/i\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Issue #2, which is what I'll mostly be talking about here, is basically the last couple minutes from the end of episode 1: \u003Ci\u003EThe Age of Magic Begins\u003C\/i\u003E, and a few ideas\/scenes from episode 2: \u003Ci\u003EThe Dark Hand of Treachery,\u003C\/i\u003E but reworked- with much more detail, character development, and explanations given. MAGIC INTERNET!\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Ca name='more'\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E\u003Cspan style=\"font-size: large;\"\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; I\u003C\/span\u003Et's clear that after this issue- the comics are taking the material in a slightly different direction than the cartoon. \u003Ci\u003E(Plot: Jim Salicrup, script: Gerry Conway) \u003C\/i\u003EAnd that's good, if you watch\/ed the show- why would you want to read the exact same thing, right?\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; But here are a couple examples of the comics being more fleshed-out, like I mentioned before:\u003Cbr \/\u003EIn the cartoon the knights just say their magic poems when they first use their powers- like they just fucking knew them all along. If you know the toy line or show at all- you know he is referring to the Dagger Assault vehicle.\u0026nbsp; In the cartoon- Dagger Assault just shows the fuck up with no explanation at all. It is George-Pérez-level-crouded in this thing.  There are two comics worth of small, busy panels in this one  issue- which \u003Ci\u003Eis\u003C\/i\u003E the only one I have so far...\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cspan style=\"font-size: large;\"\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; A\u003C\/span\u003E couple moments, that I really liked from the first few episodes, that I wanted to point out: The guinea-pig powered catapult, of course! \u003Ci\u003E(It's just a throw-away joke in the first episode, but it really made me laugh!)\u003C\/i\u003E\u0026nbsp; And then there is this part later on when Darkling Lord; Cindarr; in his ape-totem-form, is bringing down castle-walls on top of The Spectral Knights with glee- he stops when he hears a cat in distress, quickly changes back to human form, and digs it out of the rubble, cradling it in his arms, apologizing to it and saying how he meant it no harm...  The \u003Cb\u003Ebad guy\u003C\/b\u003E does this.  Layers, son.\u003Ci\u003E  -LAYERS!\u003C\/i\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cdiv style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003E\u003Ciframe allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"225\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ooGC5nRXLcQ\" width=\"300\"\u003E\u003C\/iframe\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cspan style=\"font-size: large;\"\u003EB\u003C\/span\u003Eefore I wrap this up- I just wanted to  mention a few more things from the cartoon: I noticed that the Buzz  Dixon, and Doug Booth penned episodes are not as good as the  majority  by Flint Dille.
