Freaky-Frankie-Raye...

~I remember her and the Silver Surfer's relationship, but...

Nova had a... weird connection with Galactus I'd forgotten about.

-Like; I don't know about that girl......  she just may need some psychiatric help.

  1. I used to have the first issue of the 1987 Silver Surfer series in which the skrulls were holding Nova hostage which was pissing Galactus off something fierce because he wasn't able to do anything about it. the Surfer who had just escaped the barrier around Earth (with the FF's help) runs into Galactus who's pissed off now at him to for having escaped his banishment. but they end up making a deal in which The Surfer agrees to rescue Nova in return for Galactus to give the Surfer a pardon and return his space/time powers. there's a panel in the issue where The Surfer gets the impression that Galactus has thing for his captured herald because he's talking shit in the same kinda way a dude does when someone has wronged his woman.

    1. Yeah, right on...
      It's strange I never really remembered this character development... but looking back- it's very obvious. In this very issue- when she goes back to Galactus' ship it appears that he is dying and she freaks the fuck out! -Saying how she'll find him the nearest planet to eat- fuck whoever happens to be living on it. So out of character for her; she's got it real bad for The Big G's big 'd'.

  2. Now this, this really is unintentionally hilarious. I guess the big guy was only used to using men as heralds, so when he decided to use the other white meat, he got sprung.

    Damn. Takes all kinds, doesn't it? Well, like they say, "Never get between a dog and his meat." ;)
    And hey, Scarface himself, Tony Montana, already laid out the rules for us;
    "In this country, you gotta make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the power. Then when you get the power, then you get the women."

    Couldn't have said it better myself.

    1. Yeah, totally. It's definitely an interesting aspect to explore.

      Like, imagine Terrax the Tamer acting this way? Ha!
